Local Rivals Collide: Blues and Ampthill Gear Up for Derby Day Showdown

Bedford Blues Aim to Extend Winning Streak in Local Derby

Bedford Blues are set to face local rivals Ampthill this Saturday, May 10, in a crucial RFU Championship clash at Goldington Road. Currently second in the league with 43 points, the Blues trail leaders Ealing Trailfinders by 13 points. 

The Blues have been in formidable form, scoring 22 tries in their last two matches, including a 45-24 victory over Ampthill in January. Wing Dean Adamson has been instrumental, becoming the club's all-time leading try scorer with 146 tries.

Ampthill, currently ninth in the standings, will look to upset their neighbors and improve their position. Meanwhile, Ealing Trailfinders host Chinnor, aiming to solidify their lead at the top. 

With the season nearing its end, every match is pivotal. Fans can expect an intense and entertaining derby as both teams vie for crucial points.
